Here come the forums for better or worse! Give it try, it will require registration to keep the spam out, but there are no obligations. It may take some tweaking to get it all happening.
The chat box I tried earlier is too buggy for most players and I haven't got the hang IRC yet, so for now I'll link the little C-box that has been on this page in a seperate window for in-game chat. That will work from now but it doesn't record the conversations for very long. The forums have room for lots of permanent and longer comments. Okay, cross your fingers and dot your squares, let's see if this works!

Yay. Monday. The real-time chat box is a thing! See notice on the right (or way below if you have a small screen.) At this time, it is an experiment. It can be used for the chat players would rather not have seen on MMOSBG's home page. We must register to use it properly, I am still unfamiliar with everything the chat box can do, but I know we can keep it open while we click away at the boards and enjoy some small talk at the same time.

Try the chat, and post your experiences in the Cbox on this page for now. I will have everything integrated really soon including the forums, ice cream stand, car dealership, and golden temple. Meanwhile? Nap time!

No, this isn't a blog (yuck...) just an update. The forum is foruming, by tonight I will make it fit in the site. If there is time, I'll set up the real-time chat box too.
One important point; to keep hosting costs low I have to ask everyone who wants to post images, movies, related programs, anything that fills up servers..... host them somewhere else for now. In other words, I won't make storage space for avatars on the board, YooToobs of dancing squares, or stat calculation usage programs. Please use the many free storage sites out there and only post links here. This is just until the site settles in. Chances are, my band width will go up by 0.001645 percent and my paranoia will disappear!
Thanks for the good ideas on the C-box! I'll set up categories on the forum for some of them.

Well, it's under construction anyway. I'm working on setting up a forum we can use to talk about the game, post screen shots, make suggestions, etc. There is also a live chat box I can implement for talking back and for while we are borging each others squares.
Tony (MMOSBG's creator) has given his permission to set this website up, so I'd like to make it helpful for him at least. If anything goes up here that Tony doesn't approve of I'll have to take it down. He gets final call on anything MMOSBG related!
The forum will require registration and all the usual rules and regs, with security and privacy for all of us. For now I posted a C-box on the right for suggestions. Just make up a name and type any message. I'd like to know what MMOSBG'ers would like to see this site used for, and since I'm no expert, any advice is welcome too! The forums will appear by the middle of April and whatever else as we go along.
I'm using a hosting company with a modest account so I'm not sure how much activity can go on here before they start charging extra. We'll see how that goes....
